Privacy Policy
Plain-language version: we collect what you give us through the contact form, we use it to get back to you, and we don't sell it to anyone.

Who this covers
This policy applies to justsoyouknowmedia.com, operated by Just So You Know Media (“JSYK”, “we”, “us”), based in Halifax/Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. It explains what information we collect when you visit this site or reach out to us, and what we do with it.
Information we collect
Contact form. When you submit the form on our Contact page, we collect what you enter: your name, business or organization, email address, phone number (if provided), website or social link (if provided), the type of inquiry, budget range and timeline (if provided), and your message.
Automatic information. We don't run analytics or advertising trackers on this site, so we don't collect browsing behaviour, cookies, or device fingerprints. Our hosting provider (Vercel) and our form provider (Formspree, see below) each process standard server logs -- things like IP address and request timestamps -- as a normal part of running the infrastructure, independent of anything we configure ourselves.
How we use it
We use contact form submissions for exactly one purpose: to read your inquiry and follow up with you about working together. We don't add you to a marketing list, sell or rent your information to third parties, or use it for anything beyond responding to what you asked us.
Third-party services
Formspree. Contact form submissions are processed by Formspree, a third-party form service based in the United States. Formspree receives and stores your submission so we can read it -- see Formspree's privacy policy for how they handle it on their end.
Supabase.The photos, brand details, and network page content shown on this site are stored with Supabase, our database and hosting provider. This doesn't include any personal information you submit through the contact form.
Instagram. Where we embed an Instagram Reel (for example, on a project or network page), Instagram may load its own scripts and apply its own privacy practices to that embed -- separate from this site.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form submissions for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry and, if we end up working together, for the life of that relationship plus a reasonable period afterward for our own records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time -- see below.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To do any of that, just email us -- we'll handle it directly, no formal request process required.
